Death

OAKBORO — Donald Ernest Furr, 27, of Rt. 2, Oakboro, died Monday at Stanly County Hospital in Albemarle from injuries sustained in automobile accident. Born July 15, 1943, in Stanly County, he was a son of Lewis H and Martha Burris Furr of Rt. 1, Oakboro. He was a hosiery mill employee. Survivors include his parents, his wife, Mrs Linda L. Morgan Furr, a son, Darrell Keith Furr of the home, four brothers, John J. Furr of Concord, Houston Furr of Woodbridge, Va , Kenneth Furr of Oakboro, B Gerald Furr of Mint Hill; a sister, Mrs Bill Simpson of Oakboro. Funeral services will be held at 2p.m Wednesday at Friendship Baptist Church where Mr Furr held his membership. Rites will be conducted by the Rev D O Lingerfelt, and burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be taken from Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarie, to the home of Mr Furr's mother-in-law, Mrs. Lucille Morgan, and will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the services.
