Death

David L. Furr III, age 72, of Indian Trail, passed away on June 9, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born in Mecklenburg County on April 12, 1945, son of the late D.L. and Pauline Furr. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sara Simpson Furr; his daughter, Christie Furr Trenery (Matthew); his brother, Larry Furr and his three sisters, Linda Hargett, Carolyn Griffin and Joy Purser. As Vice President of Research and Development with PCA International of Matthews NC, Dave was a talented and gifted Design Engineer. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 10:30am until 12:00pm at Lakeview Baptist Church in Monroe. A service to celebrate Dave's life will begin at 12:00pm with interment to follow in the Price Family Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be given to Hospice and Palliative Care - Charlotte Region or to Hospice of Union County.
