Death

Doris (Adami) Arnold Furr, 86 years of age, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 3, 1936 to her parents, Gordon Lee and Anna Mae Adami. Doris was a graduate of Benavides High School Class of 1954. She was married to Charles Dewey Arnold for 42 years and remarried Zebb Furr Jr. for 17 years until his death in 2015. She enjoyed traveling, water skiing, roller skating, sewing, playing Bunco and spending time with her family and friends. Doris was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt who will be sadly missed by everyone. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dewey Arnold and Zebb Furr Jr.; her parents; Gordon Lee and Anna Mae Adami. Doris is survived by her son, Charles D. “Scooter” Arnold of Alice, Texas; her daughter, Cindy A. Baker of Freer, Texas; four grandchildren, Michael Baker, Marc (Karis) Baker, Cheryl (Marco) Pineda, Cody Arnold; five great grandchildren, Hailey, Paxton, Preston, Sofia and Ellie; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the Garza Funeral Home in Freer, Texas. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Garza Funeral Home Chapel in Freer, Texas. Interment will follow at the Hahl Memorial Cemetery in Freer, Texas.
