Martinsville, Va., Sun., Aug. 4, 1974, p. 6A, col. 2 [edited]. Funeral services for Mrs. Claudette Furr Ervin, 37, Rt. 1, Ridgeway, will be conducted today at Whitley Funeral Home, Kannapolis, N.C. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Park. She died Friday at her home. She was born October 13, 1937, in Cabarrus County, N.C., to Willis and Myrtle Hayes Furr. She was a member of Ridgeway United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to her parents are her widower, Jerry A. Ervin; two son, Vience and Chris Ervin of the home; and two sisters, Mrs. Peggy Hunter, Concord, N.C. and Mrs. Geraldine Yeatts, Kannapolis.Endnotes
