PERU -- Adrian Sumner "Beau" Meyer, 76, of East Windsor Road died Wednesday at home.Born in New York City on March 7, 1928, son of Frank and Marguerite Meyer, he was a graduate of Westchester, N.Y., schools.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
A self-employed farmer, Mr. Meyer received the Massachusetts Tree Farmer of the Year Award. He was also a firewood processor and a real estate landlord. He was a tireless volunteer for the Berkshire Conservation District.
His wife, the former Jacqueline K. Kinney, died July 28, 2000.
He leaves a stepson, Grover C. Furr III of Newark, N.J.; a stepdaughter, Jacqueline F. Heller of Greenlawn, N.Y., and four grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Adrian Sumner "Beau" Meyer, who died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 29, at 9 at DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main St., Dalton, by the Rev. William D. Furey. Burial will follow at 2:30 in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Berkshire Conservation District, 76 Center St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. He also leaves his son-in-law, Marc Heller, and four grandchildren, Lindsey Heller, Derek Furr, Karla Furr and Joseph Furr.
