ASHEBORO - Ronald Larry "Fuzzy" Furr, 57, of 1818 Pleasant St., Asheboro, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at Randolph Hospital. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Neighbors Grove Wesleyan Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Larry Moore and the Rev. Mike Engle officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He was a native of Asheboro, and a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed with Champagne Dye Works and Standard Dye of High Point. Surviving are wife, Nina Smith Furr; daughters, Dianna Furr Young of Randleman and Rhonda Leigh Furr of Asheboro; brother, Charles Leon Furr of Asheboro; two grandchildren. Ronald Larry “Fuzzy” Furr age 57, of 1818 Pleasant St., Asheboro died Wednesday, January 9, 2002 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Mr. Furr was a native of Asheboro, an Army veteran and an active member of Neighbors Grove Wesleyan Church. He was formerly employed with Champagne Dye Works for 28 years and currently employed with Standard Dye of High Point. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Alexander Furr and Florence Summey Furr and his brother, James Lloyd Furr. He is survived by wife: Nina Smith Furr; daughters: Dianna Furr Young of Randleman, NC; Rhonda Leigh Furr of Asheboro, NC; grandson: Branson Alexander Furr of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter: Rebecca Leigh Furr of Asheboro, NC; brother: Charles Leon Furr of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 11, 2002 from 7 - 9 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. The funeral will be on Saturday, January 12, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at Neighbors Grove Wesleyan Church, 1928 N. Fayetteville St., Asheboro with Rev. Larry Moore and Rev. Mike Engle officiating.
