Death
Nellie Carmon Lee Furr NORWOOD -- Mrs. Furr, 94, died Friday, October 31, 2003. Fuenral is 11 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2003 at Memorial Baptist Church, Norwood, NC. Rev. Kenneth Lambert and Rev. Nathan W. Fox will officiate. Burial will be in Norwood Cemetery. Visitation is 3-5 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2003 at Edwards Funeral Home. Mrs. Furr was born March 3, 1909 in Union County, NC she was daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Bessie Thompson Lee and was a charter member of Memorial Baptist Church where she was a devoted choir member and an active member of the ladies circle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reece Jackson Furr in 1988. Survivors include son, Roger Furr & wife Sheryl of Charlotte, C; brothers, Robert & Vernon Lee of Norwood; sister, Hallie Lisk of Norwood, NC; grandsons, Michael Ward Furr & wife Celia of Indian Trail and Warren Roger Furr of Charlotte, NC; great-grandchildren, Joan Laurel Furr of Raleigh and Taylor Ward Furr & Shawna Reece Furr both of Charlotte, NC.
