Death
KANNAPOLIS- Clyde Richmond Furr, 79, of 106 Fortune Avenue, died early today in Cabarrus Memorial Hospital after an illness of five years. The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m in Lady's Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev Bill Baugess. Burial will be in West Concord Memorial Cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home where the family will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm. He was born February 23, 1902 in Cabarrus County, son of the late Thomas and Mary Phillips Furr. He retired in 1968 from Cannon Mills Plant No 4. Mr Furr is survived by his widow, Edna B Furr, one daughter, Mrs Dorothy Murph of Fletcher, two brothers, Lee Furr of Midland and A M Furr of Concord, three sisters, Mrs Elizabeth Redwine of Salisbury and Mrs Elva Blackwell and Mrs Ida Mae Chase of Concord, one grandchild.Endnotes
