Death
Services for Mr. Steven James Furr, 33, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Arlington Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Furr of 8414 Vagabond Road died Wednesday at home. Mr. Furr was a traveling field service technician for Westinghouse Corp. Surviving are his wife, Sharon; two sons, Steven James “Jamie” and Daniel, both of the home; his father, Glenn Furr of Locust: his mother, Lucille Treece of Concord; a brother, Ricky of Charlotte; and a half brother, Ray Helms of the Navy. Memorials may be made to Arlington Baptist Church, Route 1, Box 777, Charlotte 28212. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at McEwen Mint Hill Chapel.The Charlotte News, Charlotte, North Carolina, April 21, 1983
