Death
QUANAH, Texas (Special) — Nelda Jo Jackson, 59, of Quanah, died Friday in a Quanah hospital. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Knoll’s Funeral Home with John Spangler of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park. Jackson was born Oct. 7, 1928, in Fargo, Texas. She and Robert P. “Pete” Jackson were married on Dec. 22, 1946, in Quanah. Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Sissy Burns of New Orleans, La.; one son, Robert D. of Quanah; two brothers, R.E. Furr of Denison, Texas, and Don Rogers of Hereford, Texas; two sisters, Ruth Blair of Quanah and Sandra Thompson of Amarillo, Texas; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.Times Record News, Wichita Falls, Texas, August 27, 1988
