Death
Hazel Furr Klutz Coale of Carolina Beach, NC passed on Tuesday November 18, 2025 at Novant Medical Center. She was born in Cabarrus County, on November 22, 1929, the daughter of late, John Lee Furr and Dora Furr, former husbands, Noel D. Klutz and James H. Coale; also, six brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Coale was previously employed with the Great A & P Tea Company; a restaurant operator; a home maker, Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member and served on many Church Committees. She was offering counter with St. Paul United Methodist Church which she was a long-time member of the church; but in recent years moved her membership to the Fist Baptist Church of Carolina Beach. She also served on Dr. Charles Stanley’s Prayer Team and was a member of the Emmaus Community. Surviving is her son, Rodney Douglas Klutz of the home; her one grandson, Douglas Brandon Klutz of Northport, Alabama; a sister, Ruth Brooks of Midland, North Carolina; a very special niece and confident, Maxine Nivens of Carolina Beach, along with many other Nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 3:00 Saturday, November 22 ,2025 at 1st Baptist Church of Carolina Beach by Reverend Tyler Simmons and Reverend Steve Hall officiating. Graveside service will be held 11: 00 AM Sunday November 23, 2025 in Greenlawn Memorial Park by Reverend Hal Hyatt officiating.Endnotes
