Death

ALBEMARLE — Craig H Furr, 75, of 510 Mason St , died at 1 am on April 1, 1988, at his home after a serious illness of four months. The funeral will be held at 11 am Monday at Stanly Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, conducted by the Rev DO Lingafelt and the Rev Bryon Whitley. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park. The body will be taken from the funeral home to the home on Mason Street at 2 p.m on Sunday and will remain there until the service at the funeral home on Monday. Born Oct 3, 1912, in Oakboro, he was a son of the late Paul and Ronnie Barbee Furr. Retired from Wiscasett Mill Co, he was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Stanfield. Survivors include his wife, Betty Hathcock Furr, four sons, David Wayne Furr of New London, Jeffery Todd Furr of Albemarle and Pavl Leonard and Bryan Edward Furr, both of the home; a daughter, Bobbie Jean Fincher of Albemarle, two sisters, Ruby Clark and Betty Jo Almond, both of Albemarle, and three grandchildren.
