Death
Word has been received here of the death of Miss Lela Furr of Concord, sister of Carl A. Furr, former principal of Woodleaf School. Miss Furr died Monday. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Surviving in addition to the brother, C. A. Furr, who now lives in Concord, are three other brothers, Charlie of Oakboro, Earl of Atlanta, Ga., and Coy; and two sisters, Miss Alma Furr of Concord and Mrs. J. M. Abernathy of Charlotte. Miss Furr, a retired school teacher, taught for many years in Albemarle.Endnotes
