Death
ALBEMARLE — James Adam Furr, 81, of Rt 6 Albemarle, died Wednesday at the Stanly County Hospital. He was born March 31, 1892, in Stanly County, a son of the late William Mathias and Margaret Greene Furr. He was a retired machinist at Wiscassett Mills and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Mr. Furr was also a member of the American Legion and he was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Esther H. Mann and a sister Miss Elizabeth Furr of Albemarle. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3 pm at Lefler Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Charles Randolph. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Park. The body will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9.Endnotes
