The last name is also found as Rhoder. One source lists the place of death as Montgomery, PA. But in the Reformed Kirchenbuch church record book of Mutterstadt , in the Palatintate, not far from Mannheim, records the baptisms of four of the children. The record of the death of Johann Adam on March 23, 1721 proves his death and he did not come to Pennsylvania with his wife and children.
The Mutterstadt Reformed Church Records, Mutterstadt, Germany began in 1675; howerer the marriage record of Adam and Anna Katharina, about 1700 nor the birth of their son Johann Heinrich Roder, indicating they probaby moved to the Mutterstadt area sometime before 1703.
Anna Katharina sold their property 1724, 1726, 21 July 1726 are in the current town record. The last sale was recorded 14 April 1738 and has the notation "who moved to Pennsylvania". Anna Roder lived in Lehigh County, PA and is buried in Emmas Moravian Cemetery.
Deibert Family: The name of the family was orginally Tauber, signifying a dealer in doves. A peculiarity of some dialects in Germany is the change of the letter " T " to a " D " sound, and the addition of the letter " T " to the suffix " er ". Other formsof the name are Deuber, Deyver, Deiber, Deubert and Deibert.
