CONCORD Mr. Larry "Wayne" Allman, of Fisher St., passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at his home. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Joey Spry. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today, Jan. 18, 2012, at Wilkinson Funeral Home. Wayne was born June 2, 1949, in Cabarrus County, to the late Norman and Vivian Hartsell Allman. He was retired from Food Service Vending Co., and attended Fisher Street Baptist Church. Wayne is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Furr Allman; daughters, Jodi Allman of the home and Brandi A. Colby and husband, Dan, of Charlotte; son, Charlie Allman of Concord; grandchildren, Matthew and Hannah Allman and Emma and Jackson Colby; brother, Bobby Allman of Mt. Pleasant; and sister, Jeanette A. King of Concord.
