Death

BOLTON J. Billy Bolton, Jr. passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Sunday, January 4, 2009. He was born to Jinks B. Bolton, Sr. and Ruby Inez Tanner Bolton on August 2, 1924. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, W. Donald Bolton; his granddaughter, Crystal Gorzel; and his wife of 66 years, Marjorie Lucille Furr, who passed away on November 27, 2008. He is survived by three daughters, Barbara (J.W.) Graham, Janice Gorzel and Beverly Gwin (Harry) Stephens; two sisters, Beth (Dean) Tanner and Betty (Bob) Danner; four grandchildren, Brad Graham, Bryan Graham, Leslie Gwin Payne, and Rhett Gorzel; seven great-grandchildren, Katie, Tyler and Loren Graham, Cameron, Colton and Ashton Payne, and Tommi Leigh Gorzel. Billy was a member of Palestine Missionary Baptist Church, past President of the Mobile County Farmers Federation, a 50+ year member of the Semmes Masonic Lodge, and Shriner for a number of years. Funeral services will be held from Palestine Missionary Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Interment will be in the Palestine Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
