MIDLAND — James Smith Furr, 68, a retired farmer, died Tuesday. Funeral is 3 p.m. today at Midland Baptist Church. Survivors are wife, Geneva; son, James Adam Furr of Monroe; daughters, Mrs. Thomas F. McSwain, Mrs. Bradford Williams, both of Charlotte, Mrs. Billy J. Goodman; brothers, Roland F.
