Death
Funeral for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Furr, 74, of Midland, mother of Mrs. J. N. White and Thomas B. Furr of Charlotte, will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m. at Midland Baptist Church. Place of burial will be the cemetery at Mill Grove Methodist Church. The body will remain at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland until it is taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to services. Mrs. Furr died this morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. C. W. Bost Jr. in Concord. Surviving in addition to her son and daughter in Charlotte are her husband, James F. Furr; three other daughters, Mrs. C. W. Bost Jr. of Concord, Mrs. Charlie Efird and Mrs. I. O, Ferguson, both of Midland; two other sons, Roland F. Furr of Concord, and Smith Furr of Midland; 21 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.The Charlotte News, Charlotte, North Carolina, April 8, 1954
