Death
CONCORD, Jan. 19. — Funeral will be held at 11 a. m. Tuesday for Mrs. Eliza Jane Furr, 81, who died Sunday at her home on the Poplar Tent Road. The service will be held in Calvary Baptist Church in Kannapolis. Burial will be in the cemetery adjacent to Meadow Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Stanly County. Mrs. Furr is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J. L. Strube of Kannapolis and Mrs. M. L. Petrea of Elizabethtown; three sons, James Furr of the home; R. A. Furr of Asheboro, and J. P. Furr of Route 2, Rockwell; and two brothers, Adam L. Furr of Stanly County and Martin Furr of the Roberta community.News and Record, Greensboro, North Carolina, January 20, 1948
