Death
INDIAN TRAIL. James Paul Furr, 66, died Sunday, March 31, 2002. Born Aug. 31, 1935, in Belmont, N.C., he was the son of the late Horace and Bessie Mae Stephens Furr. He was married to Linda Furr. He worked in residential drywall construction before retiring. He also ministered gospel music. Survivors include his wife of Great Falls; three sons, Johnny Shout and Richard Shout, both of Charlotte, N.C., and James Paul Furr Jr. of Largo, Fla.; two daughters, Teresa Edmonds of Locust and JoAnn Pearson of Norcross, Ga.; three brothers, William Furr of Boger City and Leroy Furr of Lincolnton, and Danny Lee Furr of Lexington; a sister, Barbara Furr Barber of Lexington; and eight grandchildren. Services were held Monday in the chapel at Heritage Funeral Home, conducted by the Revs. Tommy Brazell and Rodney Boone, with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.The Lancaster News, Lancaster, South Carolina, April 3, 2002
