Louise King
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 13 at Buell Chapel for Ima Louise King of Springfield, who died March 3 of age-related causes. She was 82. A celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Springfield Elks Lodge. Inurnment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park. She was born Oct. 16, 1926, in Texas, to Carl and Ouida Blackburn Furr. She married Harold King in May, 1946, in Eugene. He died Aug. 15, 1985. King graduated from University High School in 1943. She was the office manager for Bennett & Bennett Insurance and Berjac of Oregon. Survivors include two sons, David of Springfield and Rodney of Eugene; a sister, Helen Hixson of Wenatchee, Wash.; and two grandchildren. Arrangements by Andreason's Cremation & Burial Service in Springfield. Remembrances to Greenhill Humane Society.
