GASTONIA - Ms. Maria Furr Crump, 58 of Gastonia, N.C., passed away Friday, January 15, 2016, at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia. Born in York, S.C., Ms. Crump was a daughter of Imogene Knight Furr and the late Rufus Lee Furr and sister to two late brothers, Butch Furr and Danny Furr. Surviving are her daughter, Mandy M. Crump of Charlotte, N.C.; her three sisters, Rita F. Havens of Clover, S.C., Betty F. Phipps of Gastonia, N.C. and Becky F. Gorman of Cocoa Beach, Fla. and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Bethel Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 6031 Charlotte Hwy., York, SC 29745. Memorials may be made to York County Cancer Association, in memory of Maria F. Crump, P.O. Box 4975, Rock Hill, SC 29732.The Herald, Rock Hill, South Carolina, January 21, 2016
