Death
Michael Wilson Furr Mr. Furr, 69, of Supply, NC, formerly of Huntersville, died Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Brunswick Cove Nursing Home. He was born on July 31, 1939 in Charlotte to the late Harry and Carol Furr. He is survived by his wife, Jean Furr; son, Mark Furr and wife Susie of Maiden; brother, Charles; sister, Susan; and grandson, Logan, as well as two adopted grandchildren, Dustin and William Chastain. He was preceded in death by his son Dennis. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2008 at Hopewell Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Todd officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Masonic Boys Home, 600 College St., Oxford, NC 27565. Raymer Funeral Home is serving the family.Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, September 6, 2008
