ARCHDALE Charles Furr White, 80, of Glenola, died Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Hospice Home of the Piedmont. He graduated from Trinity High School in 1954. He worked for Thomas Built Buses, Senco, Greensboro Auto Auction and Holly Ridge Golf Course. He loved golf, Nascar and Carolina basketball.Born June 18, 1936 in Randolph County, Charles was the eighth of twelve children of the late Robert Lyndon and Minnie Furr White. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mittie Jane Henry White, and daughter Sharon Parrish and husband Doug of Jamestown; two brothers, Ray White and James "Buck" White and wife Betty; four sisters Doris Canter and husband Jimmy, Rachel Hunsucker and husband Pete, Carol Hicks, and Sarah Anne Earnhardt; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by four brothers, Worth, Keith, John C. "Pap" and Bobby White, and one sister, Mary Lee White Morgan.A celebration of life will be held Sunday, December 18, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. Officiating are Joe Coltrane and Bill Barnes.
