Death

Irene Furr Brantley, 76, of 25270 Bessant St., San Bernardino, Calif., died Nov. 27, 1997. Her funeral was Monday, Dec. 1, at 3:30 p.m. in Bobbitt Memorial Chapel. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery in San Bernardino. Born Nov. 14, 1921, in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Prince A. and Carrie B. Furr and was a homemaker. She was a 1940 graduate of Albemarle High School and was of the Baptist faith. Her husband, Roy Brantley, preceded her in death. A sister, Jettie Furr Morton, and a brother, Marvin D. Furr, also preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Rodney Brantley of San Bernardino, Calif.; two daughters, Jeanie Lambert and Pam Smith, both of Boring, Ore.; three brothers, William Belvin Furr and Thaddeus Furr, both of Albemarle, and Rayvon Furr of New London; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Bobbitt Memorial Chapel was in charge.
