Death

STANFIELD — Adam Roosevelt Furr 68 of Route 1 died unexpectedly Monday at Stanly County Hospital. The funeral will be 2 pm on Wednesday at the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Albemarle conducted by Elder Clarence Whitley and Elder Cliff Allen. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church. Cemetery in Stanly County. The family will be at the funeral home in Albemarle tonight from 7 to 9 o clock. Born March 3 1910, in Stanly County Mr Furr was a son of the late Clarence and Dallie Almond Furr He was a retired farmer. Survivors include one son Harold Furr of Albemarle two daughters Mrs Lucille Mauldin of Virginia Beach Va and Mrs Mildred Whitley of Albemarle, two sisters Mrs Eva Smuth of Surfside Beach S C and Mrs Nettie Key of Stanfield and six grandchildren.
