Death
OCEAN SPRINGS — Services for Willie E. Furr Sr. will be conducted today at 1 p.m. at the Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home chapel in Biloxi, followed by burial in the Antioch Cemetery in Jackson County. Mr. Furr, 74, of 10313 Old Fort Bayou Road in Ocean Springs, died Saturday in Ocean Springs. A resident of the Gulf Coast for the past 28 years, he was a retired shipfitter. He was also a member of the Antioch Baptist Church and a member of the East End Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by three sons, Mason L. Furr Sr. of El Paso, Texas, Willie E. Furr Jr. and William O. Furr Sr., both of Ocean Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Coley Slocum of Columbia, Miss., and Mrs. Emma DeAngelo of Pascagoula; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great-grandchildren. He was prededed in death by his wife, Mrs. Mamie Furr.The Sun, Biloxi, Mississippi, April 12, 1982
