Death

MOUNT PLEASANT — Ruth Virginia Furr Almond, 70, of 3750 Lambert Road, died Dec. 7, 1989, at her home. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church, conducted by Elder Richard Almond and Elder Ted Morton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle, from 7 to 9 tonight. Born Oct. 3, 1919, in Albemarle, Mrs. Almond was a daughter of the late Phillip Monroe and Laura Jane Furr Furr. A homemaker, she attended Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Loyd James Almond, three sons, Jerry Wayne Almond of Rockwell, Don James and Tommy Ray Almond, both of Concord, four brothers, Ernest and Homer Furr, both of Concord, Ellis Furr of Mount Pleasant and J. Doice Furr of Albemarle, three sisters, Dorsie Furr of Albemarle, Mary Lou Eudy and Ethel Eudy, both of Stanfield, and seven grandchildren.
