Death

ALBEMARLE — Miss Sarah Jane Furr, 73, of Rt. 4, died Friday in Stanly County Hospital. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder C.M. Mills and Elder W.C. Allen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Lefler Funeral Home where the family will receive friends tonight from 7-9 o'clock. The body will be taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the funeral. She was born March 18, 1901, in Stanly County to the late Andrew J. Furr and the late Tiney Bowers Furr. She was retired from the Wiscassett Mill Company and is survived by three brothers, A. Shuford Furr, A.C. Furr, and Carl Furr, all of Albemarle; one sister, Miss Bertha Furr of Albemarle.
