Death
CHILDRESS, Texas — Mary Maude Keys, 84, died Thursday at her home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Post and Elder Mark Keys officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Schooler-Gerden Funeral Home. She was born Nov. 3, 1905, In Mena, Ark., and had lived in Childress since 1921. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She and Earl Keys Sr. were married Sept. 3, 1927, in Tell, Texas. He died in 1985. Survivors include six sons. Neal, J.C. and Gene, all of Childress, Gerald of Glen Flora, Texas, Jerry of Austin and Larry of Sunset, Texas; three daughters, Jodie Hoas of Denver. Cole., Cleta Keys of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Shirley Williams of Past; two sisters, Lucille Newberry of Childress and Myrtle Mann of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 33 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.Times Record News, Wichita Falls, Texas, November 3, 1990
