James Phillip EAGLE born 10 Aug 1837 Maury County,TN died 20 Dec 1904 Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas married Mary Kavanaugh OLDHAM of KY on 03 Jan 1882, daughter of William K. and Katie OLDHAM. She died in 1903. James is buried in Mt. Holly Cemetery in Little Rock. He was Governor of Arkansas for 1889 to 1893. He was the state's sixteenth governor. I have a writeup from a book on the governors of Arkansas written by C. Fred Williams about his life. He had no children. His estate was inherited by his brothers and sisters.
