Sonja Faye Furr Summerville - Sonja Faye Furr, 72, of Summerville, SC, husband of Thomas Daniel Furr, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017. Memorial services will be held Sunday afternoon, January 22, 2017 at 2 o'clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock at Parks Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Francis Willis SPCA, 136 Four Paws Ln., Summerville, SC 29483. Sonja was born March 29, 1944 in Florence, SC, the daughter of Albert Balford Hatchell and Edith Lucile Lloyd Hatchell. She was a former nurse at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. Sonja enjoyed gardening, flowers and caring for her beloved Prissy. Survivors include her loving husband, Thomas Daniel Furr of Summerville; two sons, Herbert Thomas Steverson, Jr. (Kim) of McDonough, GA, Mark Anthony Steverson (Al) of Decatur, GA; four daughters, Debra S. Cash Doaner (Cecil) of Pineville, SC, Melissa Steverson Rotz (Tim) of Chesterfield, VA, Tara Steverson Vance (Danny) of Vancouver, WA, Stacey Steverson McLaughlin (Kevin) of Summerville; son-in-law, David Vance of Bonney Lake, WA; ten grandchildren, Ashley Steverson, Christopher M. & William E. Cash, Zachary & Chelsea Rotz, Ceara DePue, David D. Vance, Jr., Finn & Sawyer McLaughlin, Kyle Doaner, Donnie Stransky; and seven great-grandchildren, Emily, Gavin, Gage & Alex Steverson, Colton & Liam Cash, Emerylynn DePue. Sonja was predeceased by her father and mother, Albert B. Hatchell and Edith L. Lloyd Hatchell; her sister, Gail Hopkins; and her brother, Barry Hatchell.
