Death
Titus L. Furr, 69, of 345 Concord Road, died Friday at 11 a. m. in the Stanly County Hospital following one week of serious illness. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p. m. at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church, conducted by Elder Cliff Allen and Elder Clarence Whitley. Burial was in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers were W. T. Holt, J. C. Blair, Sr., W. C. Kimmer, D. A. Lambert, Larkin D. Fesperman, and E. G. McCullough. Born in Stanly County, Mr. Furr was a veteran of World War I, and was employed by Wiscassett Mills for over 30 years.
