Death
ALBEMARLE — Mrs Fannie Hatley Furr, 75, of 730 Herrin Ave, Charlotte, died in Stanly County Hospital Monday after several years of declining health. The funeral will be held at 2 pm Thursday in Stanly Memorial Chapel by the Rev Fred Hopkins. Burial will follow in Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church. The family will be at Stanly Funeral Home in Albemarle from 7 until 9 p.m tonight and at the home of a brother, Watt Hatley on the Aquadale Road in Albemarle at other times. Mrs Furr was born in Stanly County on April 16, 1903, and was a daughter of the late Richard and Maggie Harwood Hatley. She was a retired textile worker and a member of Albemarle Baptist Church. Her husband Titus L Furr, died in December 1962. Survivors. in addition to her brother include two sisters, Mrs Lille Hooks of Concord and Mrs Lizzie McSwain of Charlotte and several nieces and nephews.Endnotes
