Death
Services for Mrs. Ida Alice Furr, 64, who died Tuesday in a Pascagoula hospital, will be held from Catchings Chapel at 3 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the Wesson Cemetery. Mrs. Furr, a longtime McComb resident, was visiting with her daughter, Mrs. H. L. Sterling, when she became ill. The Rev. John Flowers, associate pastor of the First Baptist Church, and the Rev. W. E. Corkern, pastor of North McComb Baptist Church, will officiate at the service. The Kentwood, La., native is survived by a son, Chilton Furr, McComb; two daughters, Mrs. C. F. Young, McComb and Mrs. Sterling of Pascagoula; a sister, Mrs. A. F. Carruth, Memphis.Enterprise-Journal, McComb, Mississippi, June 10, 1959
