Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Harrigill Funeral Home and Friday from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Ard, 96, died March 20, 2001, at King's Daughters Medical Center. He was born in Jayess on May 26, 1904, to James Isaiah Ard and Della Carolyn Coker Ard.
He was a retired dairy farmer. He was a member of Jayess Masonic Lodge #501 and of Wahabi Temple Shrine. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and his wife, Gussie Mae Furr Ard.
Survivors are his sons and daughters-in-law, Isaiah and Margaret Ard and Pat and Bonnie Ard, all of Ruth; his daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Frank McMurtray of Gaithersburg, Md., Carolyn and Wayne McInnis of Wesson, Martha Lou and Willie Paul Brister of Jayess, and Jimmie Sue Ard of New Orleans; and 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
