Eli Furr, b. 1803, is believed to be the first child of Jacob and his wife. There is no concrete proof; however, census records and early marriage records of Copiah Co., suggest that he might be. Eli died after 1863 according to the tax rolls of Liberty Co., TX. From the census records, it is known that Eli left Copiah Co., after the 1830 Census and showed up in LIberty Co., TX in 1860.
