Death
CONCORD — Mrs. Attie Hatley Furr, 90, of Stanfield Rt. 1, died at her home Wednesday at 9 p.m. She was born in Cabarrus County Aug. 10, 1877, daughter of the late James P. Hatley and Mrs. Martha Furr Hatley. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at the Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Clarence Whitley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Hartsell’s Funeral Home until taken to the church to lie in state half-hour prior to the rites. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Furr VonCannon of Stanfield, Mrs. Martha Love of Concord; two sons, James W. Furr of Mt. Pleasant, Sam S. Furr of Concord; one sister, Mrs. Rose Lambert of Stanfield: 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.Independent Tribune, Concord, North Carolina, November 30, 1967
