Death
THROCKMORTON, Texas (Special) — Adam Furr, 68, Young County resident more than 50 years, died at his home in the Padgitt community between Throckmorton and Olney Thursday. Furr suffered a heart attack and died before he could be moved to a hospital. Funeral services for Furr will be conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. from the First Methodist Church in Olney. Burial will be in Olney Cemetery under direction of Merriman Funeral Home of Throckmorton. The farmer, rancher and extensive land owner is survived by his widow; two sons, Ellis Furr of Olney and Grover Furr of Megargel; one daughter, Adele Furr of Olney; one sister, Mrs. J. B. Hendricks of Knox City; one brother, S. J. Furr of Newcastle, and five grandchildren.Times Record News, Wichita Falls, Texas, July 5, 1958
