ALBEMARLE — Minnie Efird Furr, 74, of 621 E Oakwood Ave, Albemarle, and Garden City Beach, SC, died at 310 pm Friday, March 5, 1993, at her home in Garden City. The funeral will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday in Lefler Memorial Chapel of Hartsell Funeral Home with the Rev. Stuart Noell, pastor, officiating Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 pm today. Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice of Horry County, P.O Box 1409, Myrtle Beach, SC 29578. Born June 26, 1918, in Stanly County, Mrs. Furr was a daughter of the late Jason and Ella Burris Efird. Retired from Wiscassett Mill Co. and Allison manufacturing, she was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Homer Lee Furr, a daughter, Rickie F. Williams of Garden City Beach, SC, three brothers, Jetus Efird of Florida, Wayne Efird of Locust and Gene Efird of Stanfield, and three sisters, Fannie Almond of Gold Hill, Wilma Burleson of Foley, Ala, and Aileen Huskey of Charlotte.Endnotes
