Death
Mrs. Peggy Furr Eason, 48, of Short Street, Stanfield, a homemaker, died Sunday in Stanly Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Friendship Baptist Church, where she was a member. Rev. D. O. Lingafelt will officiate and interment will be in the cemetery of First Baptist Church of Stanfield. Mrs. Eason was a daughter of the late James Floyd and Lydia Drye Furr, born April 27, 1936, in Stanly County. She was married to Edward Eason, who preceded her in death. She is survived by a brother, Hilbert Furr, of Union Street, Stanfield, where the family will make headquarters when not at the funeral home; and two sisters, Mrs. Novella Love of Concord and Mrs. Frances Kerley of Kannapolis. The body will remain at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland where the family was scheduled to receive friends from 7 to 9 Monday night.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, February 5, 1985
