Samuel Furr Gibson, 71, of Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at PruittHealth-Town Center in Harrisburg, NC. He was born on February 27, 1953 in Mooresville, NC, to the late Mack and Rose Furr Gibson. Mr. Gibson was a 1971 graduate of Mooresville High School and attended Central Piedmont Community College. He was a member of Grace Church in Harrisburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rene Hinote and her husband, Lloyd, and cousin, Paula Mangum. He is survived by his son, Tyler Gibson; stepmother, Jean Gibson; and his cousin's husband, Carl Mangum. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, February 28 at Sunset Memory Gardens in Charlotte. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory, Mooresville, is serving the Gibson family.Endnotes
