Death

Fred A. Kerr, age 82, of Gastonia, was a son to the late Carroll Albright and Beulah Bradley Kerr. He was also predeceased by his brother, Paul E. Kerr and infant brother, Clyde Kerr. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and attended Belmont Abbey College. Fred was a charter member of Robinson Memorial Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed helping others and was a father figure to many. He cherished his long career selling insurance and impacted many people with his guidance and integrity, retiring from Lincoln Financial Group and Metropolitan Life. Fred served the Lord and loved his family dearly. A service celebrating Fred's life was held Feb. 22, 2017 in the Founder's Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors. McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia is serving the Kerr family.
