Death

PIEDMONT Mrs. Deborah Crist, 49, wife of John H. Crist Jr., Tyrone, Pa., died yesterday in a Philipsburg, Pa. hospital where she was admitted Friday. Mrs. Crist, who resided here until moving to Tyrone eight years ago, had been in ill health since undergoing surgery in March. A native of Beryl, W. Va., she was graduated from Piedmont High School and also attended Potomac State College in Keyser. Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Crist taught for several years in Mineral county public schools. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George P. Ord Sr. Mrs. Crist was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and St. Sebastian Church in Tyrone. Surviving, besides her husband, are two sons, John Crist, serving with the Army in Delaware, and Charles Crist, enroute home from Army service in Germany; two daughters, Frances and Deborah Crist, at home; five sisters, Mrs. James Douglas, Morgantown; Mrs. Lee Mclntyre, Cumberland; Mrs. William Stine and Mrs. Thomas Devine, Westernport, and Mrs. Francis Stine, Pasadena, Calif., and three brothers, Harry Ord, Cumberland; George Ord, Westernport, and Charles Ord, Arthurdale, W. Va. A Requiem mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 9 a. m. in St. Sebastian Church. Interment will be in St. Peter's Church at Westernport with Rev. Charles Quinn, assistant pastor of St. Peter's Church there, officiating at 2 p. m.
