OPELOUSAS, La. (UPI) — Funeral services were scheduled today for Alex L. Andrus Jr., a prominent Louisiana attorney and former judge of the Federal Bankruptcy Court. Andrus died Saturday. He was 63. Andrus held various city, parish and state offices before retiring last September as judge in the bankruptcy court for the western district of Louisiana, a job he held for five years. He was a member of the state Democratic Central Committee from 1948 to 1970 and had served as an administrative assistant to Rep. Vance Plauche.
