Death

Robert Emmet McLaughlin, Jr., age 74 of Dacula, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Robert attended Louisiana Tech in Ruston, LA. He retired from Simons Eastern in Decatur, Georgia as an estimator after 20 years of service. Robert was a member of Cleveland Lodge #134 in Cleveland, Tennessee, Yaarab Shrine Temple in Atlanta and past president of the Cleveland J.C.s He enjoyed flying, bird watching, golfing, traveling and was an avid camper. He was a member of the Conestoga Sams Camping, Georgia Chapter 15, having served as past president and currently serving as treasurer. He is survived by his wife, Jean McLaughlin; sons, Mike McLaughlin of Bonaire, GA, Patrick McLaughlin of Dacula, GA; brothers, Dr. James Lynch McLaughlin of Ocala, FL, Dr. William Lawrence McLaughlin of St. Joseph, MO; sisters, Mary McLaughlin of Boulder, CO, Dr. Susan McLaughlin-Vaga of St. Joseph, MO; and grandchildren, Kyle McLaughlin, Erika McLaughlin, Brett McLaughlin, Micayla McLaughlin and Jessie McLaughlin. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 2 o'clock at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel. Interment will be at Broadlawn Cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 17, 2009 from 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville.
