Notes
Death
J. N. Whitesides was born Feb. 18, 1814; died Feb. 8, 1893; professed faith in Christ and joined the Cumberland Presbyterian church in early life; served as ruling elder for nearly 50 yrs. He was sick only 4 days. Though he possessed but little of this worlds goods, he was rich in grace. Those who knew him best loved him most. His conversation has been about leaving this world since the death of his wife nearly twelve months ago. Bro. Whitesides was one among the best men I ever knew. "Mark the perfect man & behold the upright; for the end of that man is peace." - Blue Springs, Miss. by B. B. StrainEndnotes
