Frances "Becky" Blake Smith, 92, entered her heavenly home from her earthly home on Wednesday, April 05, 2023. She was born on September 10, 1930, in Stanly County N.C. to the late David and Bessie Furr Blake. Becky worked for Guilford County Family Planning as a Counselor. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Smith She is survived by two sons and their wives; Keivin Smith (Nancy) and Kenn Smith (Terry); one daughter Jill Shore; seven grandchildren Stefanie S. Milroy (Jeff), Ryan Smith (Megan), Jared Smith (Caitlin), Brad Smith (Wendi), Gregg Smith, Adam Shore, and Anna S. Bennett (Bradley); 12 great grandchildren, Caleb, Emma, and Hannah Smith, Gracie, Lila, Jett, and Emily Milroy, Kora, Ruby, Betty, Ainsley, and Audrey Smith; two sisters Edith Johnson, Bonnie Cook; one brother Floyd "Buck" Blake; a special friend Brenda Caudle. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday April 17, 2023, at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 O. Henry Blvd Greensboro, NC 27405 with Rev. Paul Luttrell officiating. The family truly appreciates the caregivers Teresa Farrar, Vanessa Whitman, Doris Wilson, and Jasmine Barnhardt for their professional dedication, compassion and selfless care shown to Becky during her illness. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to AuthoraCare Collective/Hospice 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405 or Gospel Baptist Church 5945 North Church Street, Greensboro, NC 27455.
