Death

TREECE, Lena Louise - Of Clio, age 86, passed away at her home surrounded by her family, Saturday, August 30, 2003. Funeral services will be 11AM Thursday, September 4, 2003 at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home, Clio, Rev. Richard James Treece officiating, with interment at Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1-4 and 6-9PM. Contributions in her memory may be made to Genesys Hospice. Lena was born October 17, 1916, in Stanley County, North Carolina, daughter of the late Samual and Beulah (Furr) Huneycutt. She was united in marriage to Fred Treece, September 18, 1937 in North Carolina and they lived in Clio for over 30 years. Lena had been employed by GM Ternstedt for a short time. Surviving are: husband, Fred; 2 sons, Harold Treece of Gladwin, George (Sandra Jo) Treece of Mt. Morris; 6 grandchildren, Richard (Lorena) Treece of CA, Kelly (Scott) Bingham of Clio, Hal Treece of GA, their mother, Sandy Lee Treece of GA, Tina (John) Cotton of IL and her mother, Lea Gartee (Treece) of AZ, Ronda (Jeff) Judd of Mt. Morris, Lori Treece of Mt. Morris; 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: son, Donald Treece in 1973, 8 brothers and sisters.
